I believe that one good application of Permethrin.......followed about two weeks later with one of the other chemicals above would just about eliminate the tick issues for the tick season. Maybe a second application in 60 days or so.

I'm with SD, get some guinea hens and walk away, they will take care of every bug in your yard and half of your woods.

Pulled the first tick of the year off me this afternoon. I hate ticks.

I just read on facebook.......where some cotton balls drenched in liquid soap......and applied to a tick.....will make them back right out in a minute or two. The writer was saying to keep some cotton balls in a small container with soap to have ready when you get a tick. (those old film containers would be perfect).
If somebody tries this.....let me know how it works. Sounded like the real deal to get an impeded tick out quick and easy.

I've tried a lot of ways to get a tick out, the only way that's worked for me is to just pull the damn thing out. Don't know specifically the liquid soap thing though...
