Our neighbor at our farm, this is his friend who was in Canada. What the hell does something like this weigh? I realize we are seeing a lot of puffy fur, but good grief is that big. Attachments:

Wow, that's a big wolf. Can you buy over the counter licenses in Canada? I might have to try that. I'd love to bring his hide to a family event and shock the crap out of my wolf loving sister in-law.

I have seen a couple wolves up close that were trapped on our farm. An 80 lb wolf will look twice the size of a 80 lb german shepard. I would guess that wolf is not much more than 100 lbs, even in Canada. A long time federal trapper out of Duluth said he never saw a NE MN wolf over 95 lbs. Freeborn, there are OTC unlimited wolf tags in northern Idaho. That will be an interesting hunt to try out there. idfg.idaho.gov/hunt/wolf/quota

I'm surprised Idaho can have a season. I thought the Feds shut all of that down.

Old time federal Trapper just out side Duluth on Wisconsin side. When Wisconsin had their wolf season he would laugh when all the people were bragging of getting 100 pound plus wolves. He said he had only 2 that hit the 100 pound mark and he trapped a lot of wolves. Another interesting fact he told me every wolf that he trapped that they took blood samples of in Wisconsin and Minnesota had coyote DNA in them.
