If you have one you know how handy they are. If you're thinking about getting one they are well worth the investment. I'm doing a lot of Trail work out on my property and when I was upfront close to where the stuff is dumped pick up a bucket load take it dump it come back and get another one. But now that I'm getting further back into the property driving for 2 minutes with a load in the bucket just didn't make sense. Since I've had the dump wagon I'll load the wagon up take it out and dump it when I come back with the next load I will take the bucket and try to spread what I had previously dumped. When I'm finished hauling I will go back with the box blade or rear blade and finish everything off put a nice grade on it. Here's a short video granted it is not the best but trying to drive the tractor run the camera and work the Hydraulics all at the same time I just didn't have enough hands but I think you get the picture. Time to get back to work, break is over.

^. Nice video Tool'n!! surprised how much load you can lift with that cylinder and box. You need a top hinging tail gate and the ability to chain it.....kinda like the dump trucks do it. Then you could spread a nice even layer of crushed stone. I suppose it doesn't pay to rig such a thing for occasional users like us.....but it would definitely spread an even layer of stone.

Great work you are doing at your place. Looks like you have got a good system figured out. How many feet of trails are you doing? When your done you will have a good system of Trails to tour the property. I recommend an electric golf cart, quiet and everyone enjoys riding them.

Don’t you need geotextile or something to keep the gravel from mixing with the dirt?

Don’t you need geotextile or something to keep the gravel from mixing with the dirt? I have a roll of geotextile that is un-opened and available for sale/barter/beer??. I think it's 12 feet wide by 300 feet long....but I'd need to verify that. I had one roll left over after my swamp road project.

When your done you will have a good system of Trails to tour the property. I recommend an electric golf cart, quiet and everyone enjoys riding them. I never really figured out how many feet of trails there are. I have a 40 and the main trail goes around the entire 40 anywhere from 20-50 yards from the line. With several that branch off. The entire 40 was tapped for sap by the previous owner thus the reason for all the trails. What he had I wouldn't really call a trail it was more of trees cut or pushed out of the way so he could get through with his tractor that had half tracks or his small cat. When I bought the place to get to the area I put the food plot I'd have to winch the ATV from tree to tree in some spots they were so bad. I'm only concerned about good trails getting to the area I tap, the food plot and my wife's stand. I'm guessing that is maybe 3/4 - 1 miles worth. I now can get to the food plot most any time of the year without rutting the crap out of it. I've got a little more to do in this area. The trail to the wife's stand is almost done also and my tapping trail is fair to good. Some spots were raised over a foot. I was able to get a lot of fill from the township when they scrapped the ditch's. This worked well as a base for the really low spots and was free.

Don’t you need geotextile or something to keep the gravel from mixing with the dirt? What I'm putting in is crushed sandstone. It ranges in size from fine up to 2". It's cheap and works really well. I want it to mix with the dirt as I plan to seed it with something to help erosion. Just haven't gotten to that point yet.
