I picked up a browning cam this spring. I'm really impressed with the pics and videos. It's a Browning Spec Ops Full HD Series, $120.00

I broke down and bought a Browning last fall because people said they are a good value. Junk. Every cam I have ever owned is junk next to a Reconyx. Unless theft is an issue you can not beat a Reconyx on any level.

I rather get decent pictures in 3 or 4 locations instead of exceptional pictures in one.

I dont need a cam 3 to 4 times the cost of a Browning to figure out this is a shooter. I have 6 or 7 Brownings and my favorite cams by far. Friends let friends by Browning.

Some of my Reconyx are over 10 years old. None have gone bad and they are out all year around. You want to talk money a Reconyx is cheaper than any other camera per year.

Reconyx are also made in the USA. If anything goes wrong with a Reconyx the service charges are very reasonable. I bought a used Reconyx PC800 and the door seal needs to be replaced. I can send it back to the factory and get the upgraded silicon seal installed for $30. If it doesn't get stolen they are a good deal. Reconyx has a codeloc feature so you can require a password to access it preventing someone from using it if they steal it. If all manufactures did that there would be no more theft issues.

I would steal a camera so I can't be identified before I would steal one to go re-use it. Also, I have no plans to steal a camera HA!

I would venture to guess most people stealing cams have no clue that cams have password protection. The cam will still likely disappear if the wrong guy walks by it no matter what. I feel much better losing a $100 cam than a $300 to $400 cam. I have been thieved one time.

I put a little sticker in my cams that reads "Camera is password protected and registered with the mfg. so you can't use it if you steal it". So far no thefts of cams but I did have a card stolen.
