I couldn't use my round up ready bean plan in this new plot since I had Apple trees nearby. I went with buckwheat k stead and that did a good job of smothering the weeds too. Not as good as round up, but still better than other stuff I've tried.

^ the only thing about Buckwheat is.....that it's gotten so expensive $$$ for it's use in food plotting. Too bad....as it's good for building soils, bees, and weed suppression. Tho.....I've learned the hard way that you gotta mow this chit before your till it! It gets your tiller bound up titer than a drum. .

Yeah, it is so expensive I don't use it too often. I really like watching that stuff grow though since you can see it grow every day. It makes a pretty good spot to find bugs of all types since everything likes those white flowers.
