I'll start this thread Like I had at the other place. It can be moved as mods see fit once more sections are added.
Here's a video I took tonight flying in 15 mph winds. I wanted to see how steady the video was. I think it turned out pretty good. I was up to 400'.

Here's a few others that you may have already have seen.
For Foggy with sound.
This one I was watching the monitor (phone) to fly it.
I was just out flying here.

My drone is a DJI Phantom 3 standard. It will fly up to 400' and up to 1/2 mile from the controller. It has several functions or modes. It will follow way points once they are set up. It will follow you (controller) at speed up to 35 mph. You can program it to circle an area at a radius you set and it will keep the camera pointed towards the center of your radius. It's really easy to fly and I haven't crashed it yet.

Ok so here's my first and hopefully only hangup. No one to blame but myself. I had to drop the tree to get it and the only damage was 2 broken rotors and 2 rotor guards. The area I was flying over is where I clear cut and planted Norway Spruce. Next time I'll make sure I'm well above tree top level. Live & Learn

Whoops!!! I bet you were a bit nervous to drop that tree! You should have been recording the tree drop from the drones point of view as well. Really cool videos. Keep on sharing the new ones.

Any idea what the "damages" will run? Look at it this way, just like riding a scooter, sometimes you have to crash and burn a time or two before you get it all figured out.

Not to costly of a mistake. But now I have extra of each.

I bet you about shit when the crash happened.
I'm surprised that the repair parts were that cheap.
Have you seen any deer from the drone?

I'm trying to change that. Come spring the area I was over hold them. I'm never in there any time but late winter. That one of the reasons I got the drone is to fly over it in spring, summer.

Used it to look for sheds yet? I went for a little walk last night and was thinking one would kick ass for covering large bean fields, bedding thickets, and fence crossings. You know people have made programs for facial recognition, fire recognition, and stuff like that. Wouldn't it be cool to program one to pick out antlers!
