The state is upping their clamp down on casual drinkers. Now if ur caught, you cannot operate any motorized vehicle within the state, including private property. They link all the way to the statute as written.
Farming, food plotting, mowing the lawn. You banned sucka!

I don't see how they can stop you driving on your own property...that is where a lot of farm kids learn at a really early age

That's not even the point, I know more than a few farmers that would tell the law that they better bring a warrant for their arrest or stay the hell off their property.

I can see them suspending your license, but they have no right to ban you from doing anything that doesn't require a license....
What the hell is it with these folks thinking they can ban what ever the hell they want? We are seeing more and more levels of government doing what ever the hell they want and no real oversight or even consideration for the rights of the people. It shouldn't require a federal court....it only requires common sense!
You can't ban me from mowing my lawn! It doesn't require a license. You can't ban me from operating a tractor on my property.....again, it doesn't require a license!
People involved in writing these laws and passing them need to be prosecuted! If it was up to me people involved with this crap would be taken to the street and beaten!
I got a novel idea....how about we stop making new laws...get rid of the old outdated stuff and properly enforce and uphold and support the laws and programs we already have!

So, I may have gotten my reading wrong. It looks like lawn mowers and tractors are exempt. However, you still cannot operate an ATV or sled on private land. And it looks like there's no private property rights to safeguard from policing.

I still disagree.......unless your state requires a license to operate a "sled" (I am assuming that is a snow machine) or ATV - they should not apply, especially on private land! On public land...maybe I can bend a bit and see that....but not on private land. It's either your land or land you have permission to be on.
I see this all the time - where folks have lost their driving privileges and yet they are tooling down the road on their scooter, because the law here doesn't require a license to drive one. I realize they can still get hammered and create an accident.....but again....the law can only suspend a license.
I agree the intent is to get people to drive safely....however, there are limitations. Just how far are they going to take it? They are really getting into the weeds on this in my opinion.....What's next they ban you from riding a bicycle, or even walking down the sidewalk!

As long as you operate on your private property, no problem. Snowmobiles, atvs utvs boats, canoes, jet skis, need a license. If you get checked, it will cost you!!! You do not need a drivers license to drive, but do not get stopped for anything, unless you have money to burn! STUPID can not get fixed!!! Even ignorance does not work!!!
