Fuck Amazon, they charge sales tax now! Thank your state for that. We had a good run buying online. Took the greedy politician a lot longer than I thought to figure out how to charge tax for online purchases. The worst part is Cuomo the Homo takes most of the sales tax for down state and what is left to stay locally goes to the cesspool that is the City of Syracuse government. Local municipalities get a fraction of what they use to.

Fuck Amazon, they charge sales tax now! The governor of SD struck a deal with Amazon somehow so they'll start collecting sales tax on SD residents. I'm ok with it, because ours is actually a matter of reduced revenue vs a blood lust for more revenue like MN. However, I will say, if I was the mayor of Sioux Falls, I'd file a lawsuit against the SW MN, and NW Iowa sales tax watershed. I would imagine that's where a good amount of our lost money went. The glorious land of the free that is SD has made NW Iowa and SW MN look like untouched wildernesses of perfectly oriented crops and solitary hog units. They had no commerce to lose to the rise of Amazon. Before Amazon, we had a great thing going having an extra 12 counties outside of SD paying SD tax. free images no sign up

I always thought if they had a physical presence in the state they collected sales tax. Amazon has a warehouse in Wisconsin so they charge tax.

Yep, shortly before amazon announced intentions for a warehouse in MN they started charging tax. That was a few years ago already.

I wonder if they didn't negotiate a sweet tax abatement as part of a deal to move some operations there.

Fuck Amazon, they charge sales tax now! Has anyone ever tried rakuten.com? That's who I bought my drone from. They changed there name from Buy.com to Rakuten.com Was no deals at Buy.com, wouldn't image anything different with a new name. But I could be wrong, but dont think so.

Our Gander Mt here in La Crosse was not bad back in the day when they had the old store, I liked it much better than the new "Super" Gander store we have now. The new store is basically an Abercrombie & Fitch with a tiny wing in the back corner that has hunting stuff. The only thing that makes the whole place tolerable now is the indoor shooting range. The employees at the gun counter are absolute morons and about as worthless as tits on a bull when it comes to answering legitimate questions, I can read the catalog myself...........

As someone stated above I don't think Gander's buyers/merchandisers even hunted. Terrible product mix, at least for archery. Fishing dept. was better. I'm always surprised when I actually find what I'm looking for at Gander. Very frustrating experience.
Cabela's isn't much better after going public. Stock price became more important than the consumer's experience and they reduced inventory big time. I now call ahead to make sure they have what I'm looking for in stock before driving there.

I typically rely on my local Rural King any more. Hunting stuff is seasonal for them but BP and Cabela's are an hour away and in the city - eewwwww!!!! Wal-mart is a joke unless you want some crap made in China and again very seasonal as well! GM was closer than BP and Cabela's but you never knew if they would have that specific thing you are looking for. For anything archery - I go to my local pro shop...if they don't have it they can/will get it. I prefer to support local guys anyway!

I kinda saw that coming, I knew they would keep the LaCrosse store over the Eau Claire store due to the indoor shooting range we have here and no Scheel's to compete with.

Eau Claire is also in weird location headed out of town all by itself.
