I assume those are native phrags and not the non-native invasives? If it is the non-native type, I would just burn it.

I planted The rooted phrag on bare mud and cut 11 more today. Sharpened the reed and pushed in the ground and a couple spots through slits in heavy weed barrier cloth squares 3 foot by 3 foot

They are native phrags. Pot or plant? Are you sure? Natives don’t provide much cover. I guess they can also hybridize.
