In the long run that is scary and a reflection of a very poor economy under Obama. If the economy stops growing there is nowhere for young people to go. In the short run this will hurt Democrats as it will unite the right and divide the left. Democrats like giving away other people's money not there own. Allot of wealthy Democrats will not support this kind of a movement.

Problem is they are going to be voting more and your generation is going to be voting less as we move forward. Anyone shocked when he moved across the country to learn how to design video games and it didn't turn out well? LOL

I do see a socialist winning sometime in the future--maybe 20-30 years, the market will crash by 50%, real estate will be lower, interest rates and inflation will skyrocket and the experiment will be reversed by the next capitalist. The socialist kids will figure it out that you do not want to be like Venezuela.

It says millennial's are faced with harder economic times than previous generations. I contend that they make different choices. Every millennial I know has a high dollar smart phone, a cell plan, satellite TV, high speed internet, and a separate vehicle for each person in the family. Get rid of some of those payments and they could afford a pretty damn good house, but they won't get rid of any of that stuff because they feel those things are basic living rights. Instead, they choose (like Mo said) to only work 40hrs per week and bitch about not having enough money for those things AND everything else. They also bitch if they don't get to do exactly what they WANT to do. Boo hoo, "I can't get rich designing video games for a living"... then dig ditches or work 3nd shift pulling plastic parts out of a mold every 13 seconds. One other aspect is the feeling that you have to go to college. This racks up debt that doesn't necessarily increase pay and lets face it... not everyone is college material.

I go back and forth worrying about this. I think every generation looks at the one following it and thinks it's gonna be the end of the world. I don't understand all the groups, but looking back to the 60's, there was some really messed up shit going on back then. Hippies free-bangin in the mud and what not.
The police, employers, social workers, and bill collectors will finish the job of raising these kids. Eventually reality will hit and they'll get their mind right, or they'll seriously fuck it up and be doomed to life as a loser.
Today, kids can master electronics better than us before they can even speak. Yet, at age 10, 15, and 20, they seem completely retarded when it comes to social skills. But, they will catch up. They have to.

We were very close growing up and still are even though we don’t see each other much anymore. I just don’t know where or how she believes in this shit. She was one of the ones crying for Hillary on election night. The saving grace is I believe if push came to shove she would pick her money over the lefty ideals. Safe for her to call for socialism when she knows it ain’t going to happen. Interesting to see how NYC warps your mind.

Yeah, she'll really squeal when she finds out her income is $20,000-$30,000 above what everyone else deems she "needs."
"You don't really expect me to mow my own grass do you?"

I got (too) long of a list of nieces and nephews that are drop outs. Totally worthless.....and a drain on the working class. Also a few sisters that are in the same boat. Have not worked for 25 years.....and expect some kind of miracle to solve their problems?? I also have a few super achievers in the mix (Air Force Pilots, Teachers, Hard workers, etc......but none the less......a higher % of "losers" for relatives at this point.
THEY DON'T WORK!....for many years. THEY DON'T TRY.....and wont try. Why should anyone want to help them if they are not going to try to grow and get better? Never thought I would see it in my family....but it is there.....and I am at a loss to explain it.
I could help them.....but if folks wont help themselves even a little bit......why would anyone give them more to waste away? They don't want or won't take even basic advice or meaningful help. They are simply democrats leaning / socialist thinking / and wanting a handout and free medical assistance and some money - as they have not had a square shake......in their minds. Pfffft.
I dont know what to do for them. Still.....they are family.....and if I could do something to HELP them overcome their status I would. But I wont enable their contnued behavior and poor choices.
I worry about them......and what is to come. <----not so much for my sake.....but for the sake of my children and my grandchildren whom are going to have to pay for those that wont try. Feels disgusting....and self defeating at times. I never witnessed this when I was growing up.....EVEYRONE tried to achieve to their abilities.....or so I thought.

Thats sad foggy.
I am pretty lucky for the most part. My sisters and families are doing well. I like to think I am doing well. Lolll.
I do have 3 cousins which are all brothers. They havent had jobs ever. They are 55 to 50 now. Their mom died of cancer in 1968. Man they are losers now. I see them every summer at the local gas station. They dont even know who I am. Major drunks and drud addicts. Whatever.... sad but true.
