I found this lime spreader for sale but the bottom is rusted clean through. I am not even sure what should be down there. Do they have holes or a long slot to meter the lime? Is it worth fixing or is it a lost cause?

I have an EZ flow lime spreader. At the bottom of the hopper there are a number of diamond shaped openings......which can be blocked off with a gate that slides from side to side (about 4" slide). If the bottom end is gone......I think you would have a hard time making a replacement.......unless you own a metal fab shop.

Sounds like it is more trouble then its worth. I'll keep looking for one in better shape.

How cheap was it?
Some people cut them down so if the hole was on one side maybe that would be cut out anyways.
