Since the wife has a new hut her old ladder was in need of a spot to set it up. I had an idea where a good spot would be so I checked it out and set it up today.

I made a mock scrape near the new stand today. Got a cam on it so I'll see what happens

Nobody will sit outside anymore at my place......when there is a heated box blind available. We are getting soft. Sad.

I put up a 21' unit this past weekend and it was a real bear getting it setup. Damn things are so awkward. Did you tip yours up or use something to lift it?

Had it all together on the ground. Put the base up against the tree. Picked up the sitting area, lifted over my head and walked the rungs. Once it was up I lifted it up and puled the base away from the tree. I had a rope tied to the top so once it was up i had a rope hanging down. Tied that up to another tree to pull it against the one I set it up against. This made it more stable so I could climb up and strap it secure. I also raised my shadow hunter up 21' myself. I didn't have the tractor yet so it was me and the 4 wheeler. This spring the wife's hut went up 12' but I had the tractor for that one. All would have been better with a helper but I don't have one and my neighbors are all Amish and I won't never ever ever ask them for a favor.

Is this a gun only stand or bow and gun? I do not gun hunt my property. It is left as a sanctuary so the deer have somewhere to hide from the orange Amish army.
