Have you ever walked to the back side of your property to check your game camera and it wasn't there. And while looking at a few different trees trying to find it your 5 year old tells you we took down and back to the house to change the batteries.
So the then have to walk up the ridge we just went down, climb over 3 fences, walk down the driveway to spot just off it a few yards by the apple trees and clover.
Turning something that could have taken 5 minutes into something that was probably closer to 45 minutes

I had a camera disappear a few years ago and I knew a bear took it. I eventually for it 100 yards away about 3 weeks later on a game trail..

I wonder how many i have on trees i forgot about... I'm sure that I have a bunch of stands stuck in trees over the yrs that I have no clue where they are any more. I think I've lost a couple of trailcams too. Either forgot where I put them or they got stolen.

Might have to start marking them with Onyx maps... that’s what kids are for!

I have pics (old school) of me looking around in the woods like I lost something....because I did! But yes - I have temporarily lost them, forgotten which tree I had them on and even had them at the house for battery replacement and went out looking for them....only to have some text me "Dad....what you looking for...cam at house". Yep - feel like a real dumbass!

Never lost one but did have one tore from a tree by a bear. Found it down the trial some pointed up. Had a pic of the bears ass and over 2000 of the tree. Every time the wind blew and the leaves moved it took pics.
