Can’t imagine that’s too common to go multi species double??? I agree. I’m sure the coyote was coming in to kill the fox and got caught.

Wasn't common when I was trapping a lot. Yote and fox territory didn't seem to overlap by much. Caught yotes in the country, fox in town.
Nice way to start the season!

Keep taking the yotes out. Way to go. To bad about the fox, I like seeing them on my place.

Trapped a real blonde coyote on Sunday. Haven’t even set most of my traps yet. I have two behind a buddies house for his kids to check. So far two coyotes and a fox.

You know, I got some fresh coyote shit (had hair in it) on my trail this morning. I'm assuming coyote. The tracks weren't much bigger than Bob's.

Nice work Ogemaone!!
Do you use a regular .22 to kill them?
Have you considered .22 air rifle? We have a couple Crosman .22 air rifles that are very quiet but, accurate out to 50+ yards. They'll put a pellet through a 1" pine board at 40 yards.

Found some dry dirt under the pole barn, chipped my traps out of the ice, and reset them last night right before dark. Got the first one of the season.
