CNN is bending over backwards to make it look like Beto has a chance in Texas. They are using a metric I've never seen before in house races, "Republican districts where a democrat is in the lead." That completely ignores which areas report first, and is intentionally misleading. Perhaps a well disguised turnout effort for Arizona and Nevada.
Looking forward to seeing MN results. GOP may take up to 3 rural seats in the house, and give one back in the metro. Governor, Mo, Kristi, Ellison, IM25... Gonna be a long night.

Too early to say. There won't be honest reporting until the pacific time zone polls are closed.

I like how the news projects a winner with 0% reporting.

I ended up with 1661 votes. Needed 2400 to break the cycle. Did not happen. Now back to hunting!

Mo,
You gave your best shot. Nothing to be ashamed of. There's always next year. If the new board makes bad decisions write them up in that weekly paper. Your name is out there now. You'll be recognized for next time.
Years ago back in the early 1970s, a farmer in Orford, NH ran for school board. He lost. He got pissed off and ran for governor the next year and won. He ended up serving 3 terms.

Seems like these places all reverted back to what they did in the presidential race. Some of the house races are weird, but the US Senate seemed to true up. Four congressional districts were flipped in MN yesterday. Left extends it's grip on the metro and gets exiled in greater MN. Didn't expect McKaskill to get booted in Missouri. That was a surprise. I thought when Florida went the way it did, the outcome would have been different.
Mo, you did your part. Pound a for sale sign and watch the community tax itself into the ground.

Sorry to hear that Mo. You had good intentions but some people just can't be helped (or even want it).
Kansas went democratic last night and that's rare. Most of rural (which is most of the state) KS is strongly republican. The type of people who vote party without even looking at records or campaigns. With the widespread hatred of our latest governor (Brownback) it doesn't surprise me that people voted democratic... but it does surprise me that enough people voted democratic.

Scooter Walker got bounced here in Wisconsin as well. Can't wait to see what gas prices look like in this state in 6 months...
