People say vortex has a great warranty for a reason. Because you'll need it. Cameraland quite selling vortex because they were having so many come back. Ymmv.

I have a pair as well and love them.
What can "malfunction" on binocs that they are that bad?
Maybe they dont withstand physical damage as well as big buck ones. But I have used binocs for my life and cant say I have ever dropped a pair on a hard surface.

When primos bought us out in 2007 we had to be outfitted with new gear to film. Product whores. They sent us one pair of cheap Nikon Monarch binoculars. I called looking for the other pair and was told we had to share. I cut them in half with a chop saw.
Jimmy did not see the humor.

I bought Nikon monarchs in 2004. Both adjustable eye cups are cracked and no longer adjust. I electrical taped them so they wouldn’t fall off. Other than that, they have served me well.
I like the 10x42, I use all them time. But if I buy new ones, I’d get Vortex. If I had money to burn Steiner or Swarovski

Great glass - May be the best Nikon ever put out?

Yea I just see no argument that Vortex is bad. I aint rich and what I have has served me awesome in the Vortex line. Would buy them again without thinking about it....
I got a Vortex scope for my AR15 too. Love it. I would buy another scope as well without batting an eye.
