My eyes are starting to blur with the fine print (doc said I'm old) and I thought it said 256g of protein. Was going to call bullshit but then took a closer look. Those are good numbers but no, I haven't tried them. The important part is carbs... how many carbs do they have?

Put enough sausage, cheese, and hot sause on it and it won't matter what it tastes like...

Went to the store this morning and took a minute to do a side by side with the labels. Plain pasta on the left, chickpea pasta on the right.

Looks to be somewhat of a wash as one or the other has more of this or less of than that of the other.
I guess the big question, does it taste close or decent. I have never heard of it prior to this.

It’ll be a while before I try it. I’m on program for now, but come March 1st or so I can get after it.

Total calories are a wash. Carbs favor peas... Protein favors peas...
I will pick low carbs and high protein every time.

I believe fiber and protein are the two macro's considered to make you feel full the longest. Fats help me with satisfaction. I can eat pounds of lettuce and dry chicken breast and not feel the slightest bit full. Throw something with fat on it and I feel like I've actually "eaten". Fat is usually associated with protein so all is good. Carbs leave me hungry in an hour, craving more.

That’s supposed to be a good thing too.

Fats, sodium, and sugars all help to improve the taste of anything. By the look of it, the chickpea pasta is measurably higher in all 3 of those things, which leads me to believe it would probably taste like ass if it had less of any of those things than it has already. That said, as a diabetic, it would still not be what one is truly looking for in order to replace durum wheat as a base for making pasta.

I tried the Barilla red lentil fusilli pasta tonight. Tasted like regular pasta to me so we will see if the extra fiber kicks in. Carbs on the red lentil 34 grams and standard pasta was 41 grams.
