Local farm retail store here like that called Rural King... Last year they had a sign on their gun rack "Happy Mothers Day - nothing says I love you like a new gun!" These people get me! Only other places I need in town are a liquor store, gas station and an auto parts store. They also had little solar powered landscape lights that where shaped like AR rifles. I made a comment about how we needed to buy a bunch of them and stick them in peoples yards just to piss off the Libs. The guy behind the counter busted out laughing! I am not sure how you get a company these days to buy off on investing in making such a thing...but I guess that is what makes this country so great. Oh..and Rural King has NO PROBLEM SELLING YOU AN AR-15!!!!

For you guys who have purchased large ticket items and gotten discounts, how did you corrdinate it. Wait for a sale and then open a credit card? Is there also a manager discount? I've had several different account's (fleet credit cards) over the years. Bought a box blade on sale opened CC account, paid it off when due and never used the card again. The following spring bought a 3 pt tiller, brush cutter and the wife a new push mower all on sale. Had the wife open a CC account and again paid it in full when it came due and never used the card again. After a year my card became inactive and expired I then bought several firearms on sale and opened another account in my name. Every time we opened an account we got an additional 10% off even on the sale items. Both our cards are again inactive and expired and we are waiting for a big ticket item to open another account.

Fleet Farm is opening their new store next Friday. They sent out an an announcement with some featured products. One of the items they had a picture of, but didn't name was Redmond salt blocks. I'm not holding my breath that they'll actually carry them though. Would be too good to be true.

Something for all you guys that use Fleet farm is to sign up for their text alerts on sales. They usually send one text a week. Just about once a month they text you a 10 percent off sale that is good for a couple of days. You have to order it online, but can pick it up at the store. They have all the stuff waiting for you at guard shack so you don't even have to go into store if you don't want to. I have used it several times and don't have to get a Fleet farm card to get a discount.
