Which cut do i make? Leave the middle & cut the 2 sides or leave the sides & cut the middle? Good spacing between all 3 as i put spacers last year.

Don't take my word cause I'm an apple virgin. But my guess would be cut the center one.

How high do you want the first limbs?
Maybe try the scoring trick of mayas to stimulate side branches along that long central leader.

Looks like that branch is maybe 3' at the highest? I'd be removing it completely at the trunk. I'd also cut the central leader at an angle above a bud right around the 5-6' mark...that'd help stimulate side branching

If you let that 3 forked side limb continue to grow, it will be "robbing" the tree of upward growth. Leaving it last year was a good idea as it and it's leaves helped to feed the tree. This year...I'd remove it....unless that is where you want your first scaffold. If so, I'd remove the outer forks and keep the center.

Well im askin cuz this is the 2nd older tree with limbs to train, what should i do then scar it? I wish I could answer that for you. It all comes down to what you want out of your trees. As I said earlier, if it was one of my trees...I'd remove that branch entirely. I'd also remove the rest of the laterals...and I'd make an angled cut on the central leader around 5-6' up. I want the first set of scaffolds at 4-5'

I like a minimum of 15" for alternating scaffolds, 18-24" even better when thinking long term

Never ceases to amaze me on the tech talk of apple trees. Just amazing and thoroughly confusing! I just but a tree, cover the roots with dirt and hope the fucker grows!
