Boat is loaded and ready to go, beer thirty came and went, lacrosse is not over until 5 for the main event.
I spent the morning hunting striped gophers with my recurve and had two hits but no confirmed kills. Do most guys spot and stalk 13 lined squirrel or do you hunt blinds or truckstands or what. I had a lot of issues with them staring at me and ducking down the hole as I drew.
Is it ethically okay to shoot through the woven wire or do you guys always try get on the same side of the fence?

Spot and stalk butt naked and bare handed. Don’t get any more primitive than that.

Scoped 223 with hollow-point bullets from a sand-bag rest inside a stealthy blind. Cammo outfitted head to toe.....heat seeking gear with range finder.....sub-moa firearm with high magnification scope and lots of gear to help determine the perfect shot. Cant be too over-equipped for gophers. Or....just use a 22lr from the seat of the tractor as you go about your work. Your choice. .
