I walk my orchards pretty much daily. This afternoon, evidence of future blooms were showing on a couple trees. Looks like Early Gold and Ure pears will bloom next week, Golden Spice will probably catch the tail end of those two's blossoms. Whitney and Pillsbury crabs look like they'll be loaded this year. A mis-marked tree from Tree Top Nursery that I've narrowed down to either Zestar or State Fair looks like it should have a bunch of fruit too. That should help me confirm it's identity. Lots of trees at green tip and plenty at silver tip yet.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think my Hudson's Golden Gem may finally have a blossom or two. I've been waiting for that damn tree to bloom since 2013. Sure like to be able to eat a couple of them. I've also been waiting a long time for my Tolman Sweets to bloom. One doesn't look like it will this year, but I'm still holding out hope for the other.

Love the Orchard Walks thread! I took a walk in mine this weekend just to see where mine stood compared to some of the others listed on this thread. I can't believe how far behind my honeycrisp is in comparison to some of the others around it. My Hcrisp is barely pushing buds while others nearby including a Liberty is pushing leaves and soon flowers...

My NW Greening is barely at green tip while the Whitney crab maybe 40 yards away will likely have open blossoms by the end of this week.

It's too early to say for sure, but it looks like there's a chance I'll get to try my first Franklin apple this fall. It appears that I'll have a few blossoms shortly and if they make it I'll probably allow the tree to grow one apple. I'm very impressed with the growth on those B118 Franklin.
My kids and I also trapped a pocket gopher yesterday that was headed for one of my orchards. That's gopher #4 so far this spring and I was certain I wiped them all out last spring.

My NW Greening, Macoun and Honeycrisp are all just pushing bud. Lots of others are looking to push flowers within a few days!

That may be a good thing in case there's late frosts or several days of rain during bloom.

As of Sunday my apples at camp were no where close to apple bud stage. I'm hoping the varieties are spread out some so I get some apples even if we get frosts. I'm thinking things will have changed by thIs coming weekend.

I walk "The Orchard" pretty much every day that I'm home before dark. Keep the trails mowed and love to step away from things for a few minutes. You guys are way behind though! Blooms fell off several weeks ago and fruit is starting to get sizable. The only thing that waits this long to get going are my Jujube.
