I didn't know where to put this, so it ends up here.
My wife has been making daily batches of creamy cukes/onions for the last week or so. A couple days ago, she started cutting up a tomato and putting that in there. Then we had some left over bacon and that started getting cut up and put in there. I have to say, I'm eating the hell out of them.
Forgot to add that we love heat. She also adds a sliced jalapeno or two, some red pepper flakes, and some Montreal steak seasoning.

I like cucumbers but they run havoc on my system. Haven't had cukes do that to me, but last night's collard greens cleaned me out big time. They were delicious though.

As far as I'm concerned, cucumbers are just an ingredient to make pickles!

As far as I'm concerned, cucumbers are just an ingredient to make pickles! The wife has been making pickles twice a week for a couple weeks. She uses a different variety for pickling. Slicers go into creamy cukes or refrigerator pickles. Pretty sure we've given at least 20 lbs. of slicers away too

What's the cream in creamy cukes? My Mom used sour cream. Here in MN it seems Miracle Whip is preferred. I like both. A bit of vinegar is also important.

I had fish chowder and too much of that cleans you out. Sweet corn, sunfish fillets, sautéed celery, cream of potato soup all mixed together. Tonight was walleye and bass on the grill with fresh dill/ cucumber/ onion/ butter drizzled over it.

Soak In salt water - drain and add mayo sugar vinegar onion and milk. Lots of ways to get it done. My wife slices the cukes and onions (and jalapenos for us), puts them in a colander and salts them. Let's them sit and weep into another bowl for a couple hours stirring them around from time to time. Then adds the other ingredients. I think they're better the next day to be honest. At least a few hours in the fridge really helps anyway.

I eat a whole bunch of fresh cukes from late July through the first hard frost...then next to zero for the rest of the year.

Ingredients 4 large cucumbers, sliced salt and ground black pepper to taste 1/2 cup half-and-half 1/2 cup sour cream 1/2 cup mayonnaise 5 large green onions, thinly sliced 1 (1 ounce) package ranch dressing mix (such as Lipton(R) Recipe Secrets(R)) 1 1/2 tablespoons white sugar 1 tablespoon dried dill weed 1 teaspoon celery salt 2 teaspoons lime juice Directions Arrange cucumber slices in a large bowl, generously seasoning each layer of cucumber with salt and pepper. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 3 hours. Drain liquid from cucumbers. Gently press cucumber slices with paper towel to absorb any remaining liquid. Stir half-and-half, sour cream, mayonnaise, green onions, ranch dressing mix, sugar, dill, celery salt, and lime juice together in a small bowl; pour over cucumber slices and gently stir to coat.
