Wish you were closer Jerry I would cut them for you. I have cut piles of stair stringer for homes. Just did a set for my box blind here in MO. I use a framing square once I know where the landing area will be. I figured you had built a ton of stairs. I'm looking forward to building them, it's not something I get to do so I'll learn something. I also have a couple more sets to build in the future so this is good practice.

What ever you do.....do not cut the risers and treads into your stringers. IMO....it's so much easier / lighter / stronger to use 2x3" treated wood to provide a surface for the treads......and you don't need more than a 2x8" for those stringers.
Hope you got a chance to get a look at the steps at my place (?).

Your regeneration looks good. We saw a group of turkeys in your bean/ brassica field, one was a piebald. They weren't to alarmed, I could of had one if I had a gun Your right , 2×3's are plenty for supporting the treads. My stringers will be 16' so im going to go with 2x8, 2x3 supports and 4/5 decking. That should make some quality stairs. Thanks!

That can be good and bad, how straight do you want these stairs?
