Had 8 hunters in camp yesterday. Right at prime time all hell broke loose with the weather. Downpores, thunder, lightning, and high wind. The weather this season has been horrible. One good thing, a 14 year old got this bear on one of my baits at 4:00 in afternoon before the storms hit. He only had to sit an hour.

Should get a lot of steaks and burger off that chunky bear.

One more day and I head for home on Monday. It was ladies day today. I had 2 women on my baits. One filled her tag this morning with a 150 pound sow. This was the very 1st animal that she had ever shot. She was really pumped. This evening the other lady shot a 200 pound sow. Both ladies made good shots so it was easy tracking. I have one more hunter that will be hunting tomorrow. When I get home Monday I will be switching modes when I get home to deer hunting. Seeing the posts from Live in the stand has me getting the itch to get out.

When you have someone hunting on your bait do you stay with them or do you just get them set? How do you handle multiple hunters? Good luck deer hunting.

Just take them out and get them settled in blind and then leave. If multiple people shoot bear there is extra help to track and retrieve bear.

Seemed to work very well.

It just dawned on me, the DNR never sent me my bear tooth report. It was supposed to be to me by first week of November.
