Done deal. That was a long weekend, but I’m thrilled it’s all done. The rest I can do during the week as it comes. Ended up with 22 pints (pounds) of bear outta that batch.

I’ve still gotta do that last 8 pounds and save back a couple for my swamp engineer’s gumbo.

Where did you get bear meat? You must have missed the posts where he shot a bear with his bear tag close to his land with an outfitter.

We thought we ordered enough corn to do 36 pints and be home for an afternoon nap. Google doesn’t know shit about ears per pint. We yielded 70 pints. Last batch was still in the cooker. That was with just my canner. Oh if we had two.

I’ve put up a dozen or so quarts of tomatoes. What is your process on corn?

I’ve put up a dozen or so quarts of tomatoes. What is your process on corn? Raw corn pink salt water 55 minutes @ 15 lbs Bring Modelo I brought my old mister twister electric fillet knife, and I had the corn zipped off the cobs myself in about an hour and a half.
