As I mentioned earlier on another thread, a family of beavers moved into my Wisconsin property and built me an awesome duck pond. The beavers don't seem to be content with a reasonable pond and they are trying to raise the water level and if it goes too much higher it might lead to some big problems. I tried to regulate the water level by installing a couple pvc pipes through the dam at the intended water level and they filled those in with mud. Beavers 1, Ben 0. I don't really want to kill them since they do a great job of dam maintenance and their price is right.
Does anyone know of a relatively cheap or easy way to regulate the water level with some level of control in a beaver rich environment?

That appears to be exactly what I need. I even found a brochure that details the build instructions and materials needed.
