Around here, firearm raffles make a bunch of money for local churches.
Zero idea if donated firearms would be money makers for them or not, or what the legalities of such a thing may be.

The high school shooting clay teams sometimes have raffles for guns. Perhaps you could approach a coach with the idea.
I also know a Benton County sportsman’s club that supports many local high school trap teams. They have a tax free number of some sort and spend their money without having to run it through a state or nationwide organization.
The current President of the club is a friend of mine. I do know they financially support the Foley trap team. Let me know if you want to approach them. They also have charitable gambling and people trained in that area.

Somehow, I have reached the point where I see how MnFish feels. I have an accurate .22 for critters around the farm, a predator gun, a deer rifle, and a couple of shotguns. I don’t really need anymore guns and gun raffles do not interest me.

I would try to donate them to be raffled or the like to support a local conservation or shooting sport minded group. Here life is pretty simple....a man really only needs a 12 gauge, a 22LR, a 30-06/308 for hunting....maybe a 45/50 cal smokepole. He needs a 45 ACP/9mm pistol and an AR to protect himself and his family! Yep - I said it....an AR or any other semi-auto rifle you choose! Anything beyond those....well those are just for fun...and there is nothing wrong with that either!

We've got my guns, my Dad's guns, and my wife's late husband's guns....We don't need any more guns. 99% of them sit in the gun cabinet 365 days a year. I keep Dad's .22 out for critter control around the house. Other than that, I take my slug gun out for a few days a year. That's it. I have no idea what will happen to those guns. Probably get sold at an auction when I'm dead I suppose

There's an old saying; something along the lines of "I hope (when I'm dead) my wife sells the guns for what they are worth... and not what I told her they are worth".
We have guns that sit most of the year but they do get fired often enough for me to justify having them.

And we don't share land. Your right! I'm just saying that in my area....if you needed a "man's firearms starter kit".....those are where you start. You want anything beyond that....you go right ahead. I am sure many of us have something pretty damned close to that list as well as a few beyond. Doesn't make it wrong. Never said it was. I'm just saying we don't have to have a specialized firearm for every occasion.....if you WANT you....you go for it! You don't want a handgun or a shot gun or ANY gun.....that is fine too.....but if you don't want one that doesn't mean you can choose for me either. Your right we don't share land.....but we must also keep in mind we only rent it for a while as well!
