I got to see a commercial sized operation north of Duluth using RO to speed up their sap boiling process. It was crazy how fast they could make syrup when they reduce sap from 42-1 down to 7-1 pre-boil. I pleaded with the guy to let me drink the removed water, but he wouldn't let me.
