Fat toad of a bass. Measured just over 22 inches. Internet says that length should weigh a little over 6lbs with normal girth. Didn't measure girth but she was way above average. Probably closer to 7 than 6.

We've caught longer but never bigger around. The wt includes the bucket because I couldn't get the scale to zero with it on it. Internet says it should be 9.7lbs. Ultimate goal is a 10.

I'd say it's equivalent to a 200 inch buck and very few are caught. I knew a guy who quit fishing after catching one. Got it mounted and then gave away all his fishing gear. Said he'd never top it so he was done. They seem to be more common in southern states like TX that can grow the Florida strain (or the F1 hybrid), but I'm too far north for those. I threw her back but seriously thought about a mount. Biggest bass by far for me.

I might keep a smaller one to make a meal if I am short on sunfish, but I don’t really try to catch them. Smallmouth are fun to catch as well. Probably more of a battle. I caught one on Canada that I thought was a small musky, but was a dandy smallmouth instead.

Got into a little walleye action tonight fishing for panfish. Caught 6 last hour of light. 2 keepers. 15”+. 2 just under. 2 dinks. Plenty of panfish too. Nice bluegills.

Had a friend and his family over today. Cleaned 50 panfish. Had a Canadian walleye fish fry and our two from last night. Great day on the water. More bluegills than crappies.
Sent him home with a full gallon zip lock bag of fillets.
