Sounds like the old Ted is interested in trying to sign AP. I say this is a bad idea. Convince me I'm wrong. AP is old, hurt a lot, fumbles too much and has too many zero yard carries. Sure you get a home run every now and then but it sure makes it hard to sustain drives when its always 2nd and 10 when you ran the ball. I'd much rather have a E. Elliot type runner than gets 5 yards every carry and is always falling forward. Thoughts?

I see no reason to pick up AP, other than the "Favre" effect anyway. AP isn't a receiving threat (3rd down) and I doubt his ability to carry the load as the team's number 1 running back. To say you'd rather have Zeke...well no shit Problem is, there aren't many Zeke Elliots out there.

Please, please, please,...........Sign him to the Pack! I've yet to talk to anyone here who will miss the ol' testicle whipper Speculation at the bar was that he wouldn't get re-signed back during the early fall. Sometimes bar talk is accurate

There is little upside to AP and I doubt he could be the full time running back at his age. I don't think he can take the pounding.
AP made a ton of money in MN, considering all his children I wonder if he has any left.

If you don't pay an arm and a leg, why not? He doesn't have to be a full time back w/ Montgomery back there. Montgomery can be the guy to catch passes, etc. AP is more of a homerun threat than Lacy. PA w/ AP and Rodgers could work. Sign him to a 1 year deal. If it doesn't work, oh well. I'd try and draft someone that can contribute too although they need more help on the other side of the ball.

I think AP could have a good season if he has a good offensive line and splits carries with another back. Personally I think he will go to warmer weather. I do not see any downside to having him on the team, if they do not overpay for him. He would look awful studly in a Packer uniform, but I hope that doesn't happen.
New England would really be a nice fit for him, in my opinion.
