How deep were you able to auger? Is there a large power head that goes on that unit?
Is this a sandpoint?

Cob is roughly 2 parts clay, 1 part sand, sprinkling of straw and a little water. He bought a mortar mixer to process it. I think straw bales are sandwiched in the mix for the walls. Crushed rock footings 4 feet deep 2 feet wide, field stone foundation I believe and I dont know the balance. Will learn more this summer.
He augered down about 11 feet with that first picture. End fill with soil about 8 inches a pull. You can add lengths of black pipe to keep drilling. 6 inch diameter hole. 24 wood inch 'T' powers the auger.
Its like a sand point but he just scored 8 feet of 2 inch pvc with a saw and poured the rock down the hole when we were done. We got into some pretty good gravel. Said he can achieve more volume that way.
