OK Traeger is probably out then.I think they start around $700-$800. How long do the Traeger’s last? Are they worth the extra $200-300?

I compared the Camp Chef with the Traeger and went with the Camp Chef. At the time they had a sear plate not available on the Traeger. I have had mine for three years with no issues and I use it a lot. I would highly recommend either one. They are very versatile.

I think I got roped into a demo of a Traeger smoker at a Cabelas store in Maine a few years ago. They looked like they’d work great. I saw a Green Mountsin last year and they looked good too. Unfortunately I’ll sit on the sidelines until my Weber gas grill dies.

My brother in law just got a green mountain....looks nice. I have a Masterbuilt electric smoker im waiting for, to die. What you choose really depends upon whether you are cooking at 200 deg plus or below 200 degrees..
