This alfalfa field seems to be doing the trick, planted last year and was 12+ inches tall going into the fall. Should be able to look for some antlers nearby. My brother said he has been seeing 15+ deer regularly on this 18 acre field and another 10+ just over a 1/4 mile to the west.

Isnt that something when we get so excited to see a field with 15+ deer in it?
I remember as a kid seeing 50+ deer in fields around our farm in late winter.... Now if you see 10+ I am calling everyone I know because I am so excited.....
About 10 years ago, the field outside our development had 40 to 50 deer in spring out there a few times. The last several years, 5 to 10 at the VERY most ever at one time.

The DNR would say thats 14 deer too many.
