I have more confidence in roots like thesr versus the Antanovka or B 118 roots that I see.

This is light sandy soil with a low pH so I amend the soil. Rotted would chips are in the bucket. Two hunted yards to the east is about two feet of heavier black soil. I don’t amend the soil at all over there.

Done. Most of my dolgo seedlings show very little CAR so I might be ok this close to the cedars. I passed the rest of the dolgo rootstock on to some younger guys.

They are sold out, but he has dolgo rootstock listed for $2.70 each. I might have to make a note of that and give them a try next year at that price.

I keep waiting for my Dolgo tree to produce fruit. I'd like to grow a few seedlings and see what they produce

That tree gets nearly all day sun.

It had at least two apples as they were hanging when I pruned in February.
