Looks like it was a good storm with lots of rain there. Have you been onsite? I wonder how deep that limb is in the ground?

I think the assumption is the limb that wasn't stuck in the ground... and then all of sudden was stuck in the ground might have come from a lightning strike. Did it come out of the tree the camera is strapped to? If so I imagine it's a good chance the camera wouldn't have survived.

Did not come from tree cam was on. About 20 ft away. Maybe the glow of the limb/tree top was from elec. tailend of possible strike. That's why the ? Going to site tomorrow to check for burns on limb.

Look for bark blown off the tree all of the way to the ground.

My cams take pics like that with some frequency. Not lightening just trail cam stuff

Looks to me a branch just broke and is hanging, and the night pic is just the flash on it with maybe the lens dewy as it looks very misty/light fog mist in the air.

k19 -- Had cams out for years, 1st time for getting something like this. Lots of other weird stuff but not this. I get them all the time. Just the cam flash at night
