Maybe it's just because he's so close to the cam, but this one looks a bit different to me

I'd say coyote. Just hasn't eaten in a while.

Looks kind of like it has a red tint to it. I would say the ears looks big to the size of the head so coyote.

Leg length to torso height relationship at the front shoulder looks to be about equal, which says yote to me. If it were "big bad" the leg length would be noticeably longer in relation to the torso.

The pointy nose is what says yote to me. I just looked at some deer pics from that cam and that confirms it as a yote. I assume a wolf would be at least similar in height/length to last year's buck fawns.

Dale nailed it. This is the best way to tell the difference between a yote and wolf. Definitely a yote.

Thanks guys. I had a handful of yote pics on this card pull, those are some of the first I've had recently. Seems late winter/early spring is when I tend to get yote pics, then I'll go months without any (which is just fine with me). I also had some red fox pics on this card pull, I guess yotes and foxes can co-exist.

That is a strange looking coyote...is it a cross? (I know that is not possible). At first glance ?
Big feet too

Looks like a darker phase than I usually see around my place. Pretty cool actually. Looks like he's been having a tough time filling his belly though.
