I have a Fimco 25 gallon sprayer with a boom and I've been really happy with it. It works really well for spraying the 10-12 acres I've done the last couple years. I rachet strap down my deep cycle trolling motor battery on the front rack of my ATV so I don't have to worry about running low on juice. How long does it take to spray 5 ish acres Ben

I used a gel cell battery strapped to the rack on my old ATV where it had the battery under the seat.

I got duped the other day when operating my FIMCO sprayer. Could not figure out why one nozzle was not working. Took it apart and cleaned on it.....sprayed it with air......still had little pressure. Turns out the damn battery was running low on charge......and could not meet the pump demand. Charged the battery and life was good again. Duh! Not sure why I had not charged that battery......I must be slipping. I use that same small automotive battery for the sprayer and the seeder. I wish I had a 12 volt outlet on my UTV.....which would eliminate the extra battery. Add that to my to-do list. Why not just aligator clip it to the battery ? Or get a aligator clip to ciggerette plug adaptor. The battery on my Yamaha is not accessible without tools. It has a 12v cigarette lighter thing in the fender I used but it’s a pain in the ass. I had to constantly fiddle with it to make it work. When I replaced my pump this year I got one with that harness type. When I sprayed trails and my gravel a couple weeks ago I just used an alligator clip deal that plugged in to that and a small 12v battery I brought with me. It was 100% easier than in the past.

My sprayer is 25 gallons and the little half sized 12v battery will completely empty it at least twice.
That’s as much as I’ve tried.

I read reviews on the fimco prior to purchasing the northstar. The fimco reviews were not good. I’m guessing the northstar won’t be much different.

I have had my 2 nozzle Fimco for 15 years or so. Still on the same pump.
Foggy picked up a fimco 7 nozzle boom 25 gallon for me about 5 years ago.
I have zero issues with Fimco.
