I might build one for fun again soon. I'm thinking about ripping the box off my first home-build POS and starting over. The base is sound. I can probably buy something for less money. I get it.
Has anybody tried to take treated plywood, the thin stuff, and laminate it with construction adhesive on either side of a sheet of the 1" pink insulation? Walls made out of this could be warm, and maybe require less framing.
Thoughts? Bad idea?

I believe the plan for us is to use the sheets of 1” insulation and attach them in between the frame and our plywood. I’m not sure how well that’ll work but, time will tell. I don’t think we will actually be laminating/gluing it though.

That's not a bad idea with the price of treated plywood these days. I just priced some out online. $$$. Cheaper to buy a stronger heater and extra can of gas.
Might be squeeky if you don't use glue.

I've had the exact same idea but haven't researched it cost wise. I'm not much into deer blinds but I think a duck blind out of something like this would be nice.

This cold be a problem.
"Insects such as carpenter ants, carpenter bees, and termites may become a problem in foam-core panels, however. EPS, polyurethane, and isocyanurate foam provide the ideal environment for an insect nest."

We did this on the other blind and it seems to be fine. Insects like ants and termites are attracted to water in wood. It the wood isn’t sealed or there’s a leaky area that water could get to it definitely could be a problem but, I think you’d have that problem with or without insulation. The roof will have a foot overhang on all sides.
