Put a hunter on bait and 5 minutes later he got this 255 pound boar. Tom, are those big old boats edible or do they stink? I am talking about bears twice the size of the one pictured. My neighbor shot a big one a number of years ago and he said his hands just stunk after skinning it. He gave the meat to somebody.

They have been eating peanut butter wafer cookies for over 2 months.

We have killed a couple old boars on my place and they both were great tasting. I didn't notice any smell on them either. Now if you shoot one in the guts I bet they could get pretty stinky!

how many bait piles are being run to get 71 bears? Any idea how large of an area roughly is being covered?

What does bear taste like? Anything like deer steak?

What does bear taste like? Anything like deer steak? I would eat bear over deer any day. The bear we kill have been eating cookies for nearly 2 months. Lol Bear meat is more tender than venison. Not so dry either.

Quite a few bear have been taken in our special part of the quota zone with a no tag limit. Sunday night, a bow hunter was hunting a specific buck in a one acre wood lot and he shot a 600 pounder live weight. He had a bear tag and I imagine he was surrounded by a sea of corn.

Saw it and if the bear is as big as what they are saying, why the heck is she so far behind the bear. It was not just the pic in article but every pic I saw of it she was always way behind the bear in pic to make it look bigger. On a 700 pound bear a person doesn't need to do the 10 feet behind the animal pose.

I think the bear would look bigger if she was holding the head like normal.
