Two questions:
First: What type of Headlamp do you use for entering and exiting your stands? Does it have different colors to chose from and for what purpose are the colors?
Second: What brand/type of a headlamp do you use for seeing around camp or working on things when its dark? I need to buy a couple more plain headlamps as either I have lost a couple or my wife has lost a couple.
For Hunting I use an older Browning, non LED, that has a regular light and then either blue or red colors . I use Red for getting into or exiting my stand and never use the blue. I like the headlamp but it does use an odd battery type which cost about $10 a battery. I might upgrade to LED as mine goes through batteries and the bean is not real strong.
I can't remember the brand of my regular lights and I can't find any of them so I need to buy a couple headlamps.

Don't use lights except for blood trailing. In the case of the unforeseen need I always have my phone on me for light.

Whatever is cheap, handy, takes simple batteries, and has an on/off that can be operated with a glove on. I think the tractor supply had some in the tool bin for $5. They're still working today.
When I hunt my place, I don't use one. I know those paths well enough.

Thanks Mark, that looks ideal for around camp. I'm surprised you guys don't use them getting to your stand. There is no way you would ever find my stands or even get close on my place. I have no large trails and the few I have are all just wider than a deer trail so just wide enough for me. I use red for accessing stands.

I never use a light for walking in or out of stand in the dark on my land. Now if I am on public land I always use a light because i don't want to get shot. Your eyes will adjust very fast. If you still need guidance mark your trails with ribbons. You would be surprised at how far that light can be seen.

I generally use my phone but I have used night vision goggles to get in stealth, really early. If you have never used military night vision it would blow your mind. It does throw off your equilibrium so you have to go slow.

I wait until I can see well enough to glass and I take things slow. I basically "still hunt" to most of my hunts. Don't even use tree stands much as it's impossible for me to climb without giving away my presence to anything within 100yds. I routinely get to stand within view of bedded deer. I've spent entire evenings on top of a hill waiting for deer to leave so that I can sneak down into the creek bottom and hunt... just to end up not hunting. I call those distant scouting days. Wouldn't work for me if I hunted dense forests like what you guys have up north.

I have a couple of cheap Energizers. Red or white LED. White adjustable brightness. Used them at work and anywhere else I need more light. Can pick them up for under 10 buck if you catch a sale. I even glued one to my hardhat.

Don’t use anything for deer hunting. Have hat clip lights for duck hunting.

WOWTAC A2
Love that it recharges with a micro-usb. Love that the battery is a 18650 size (I think) that is replaceable if it does ever go bad. The thing blinks before it dies completely to let you know the batteries are going dead. Lasts a long time on a charge, like use it for three evenings around camp then think about recharging it.
No red lights, just got really low, medium, high, and blinding settings.

It's a little spendy but you don't loose them after the shot 😁

If you’ve ever walked up on a sow bear and cubs at 30 yards feeding on acorns or beechnuts in the dark then you’d understand why a headlamp is important. Especially when the sow huffs and stands up on her rear legs to get a better look at you.
I head into the woods way before daylight and come out usually after dark. I try to use cheap Tractor Supply headlights but, sometimes use small flashlights.

Lol In a little over a week I get to try not letting that happen again.
