I got some tall corn stalks (about ten feet high) and a few of my stands overlook these plots. QUESTION. Can I legally knock some of that corn over so I can better see into those fields to shoot.....or must I leave it stand? Is there a time line to alter what I got to stay legal? The corn I got is 90 day corn....and it's gotta be close to maturity at any time.
What say you? Knock some down by driving over it?.......or by using my cutter?? ......or do I need to leave it stand??? (and not see chit)

Only black bears can knock over corn without consequence. Your local law enforcement will stand down, and advise you to give the blacks all the corn they want no questions asked.
White tails are allowed zero mowed Corn. May seem a double standard but its reparation or something along those lines. Indians negotiated the whole deal in your area.
Raccoons (AKA coons) may be in the corn but will have masks on. Likely ANTIFA plants.

I’d say if there’s any doubt then knock the corn over and remove the cobs or the complete stocks. That would then be no more different then cutting a limb or tree that is in your way.

I asked my local mn warden about mowing a shooting lane in my corn plot and he said no unless I remove all the residue.
Knocking down a shooting lane would likely be similar.

My Co said go for it. Mow the corn, just dont manipulate it in any way after mowing.
Contact your local CO via email. and save their response. Very simple.

Use those plywood shoes or whatever they use to make crop circle designs, then say winds blew them down. No tire track or mowing residue to prove otherwise.

I like to mow strips and then broadcast 1,000 lbs shell corn per acre per week. I get low germination but it draws deer like crazy.

Mowing 10 weeks before gun season and mowing 2 days before gun season are two different things. I'd bet your residue is gone by hunting season. Go mow it now and don't worry about. If they bust you for that, they have too big a budget for enforcing protection of an animal they are actively trying to eradicate.
