I'm assuming this one was a product of a really late cycle. The other fawns are starting to lose their spots and this one looks like it just dropped in August. Cut off the date, but it was taken on 9-2. It has some catching up to do if it is going to make it through winter.

I was going to post about this. I was checking stands at our lease property today. When I started up a ladder a fawn took off about 10 feet from me. Very small and with spots. I’m guessing it was a couple months late. Saw a fawn at my place yesterday and the spots were fading since it is getting its new coat.

I saw a spotted fawn during early November rifle season, roughly 25 years ago.
