I put a camera in front of a crab apple that was full this year, and I have been getting some good pics from it....date is off, all pics are last two weeks.
Not even sure what kind of crab it is, planted back in 02, 03 ?

I often see a preference for crabs over larger apples. I suspect they are just more bite sized.

I need to out a trail cam on my home crabapples to see what’s interested in them.

I need to out a trail cam on my home crabapples to see what’s interested in them. It’s kind of fun to see the activity. I’m guessing it will pick up even more now.

I don't have any pics, but my wild red crabapple has been dropping for the last week or so. The fruit doesn't last long after it hits the ground. I've seen a little 6 pointer eating those crabs a number of times during the day.
