Our products are manufactured in the czech.... if we stopped our product manufacturing months on end. We are dead. That seems very odd if thats the true business model. We alpha and beta test for many months. But sell current models as normal. I think it is the business model for a lot of trailcam companies.

I ran down to the man salon over lunch to get my hair done today. I was talking to the hot chick about the apocalypse. I asked her what she's been trying to get that she can't find. Her issue was a quality used car. She also said her husband couldn't get his hands on mud to finish his sheetrock jobs. When I stopped at the Ace Hardware to get spray paint, I had to wait out a lady that was chewing ass about the pallets of jars for sale -with lids- but there not being any lids-only in stock for canning.
I did score 3 two-gallon pails with lids at Casey's. Those are the cats ass for storing plot seed and mixing small seeds.

Tactacam has lost out on millions in sales due to lack of supply. True but for their 1st year of selling Trailcams and selling all of their inventory is a good thing for them. Could of went the other way where they had a bunch of extra inventory where they had to do deep discounts to get rid of them. A lot of companies are in the same situation, look at Stu's situation with trying to buy a side by side and trailer, none in stock. Same with me trying to buy a disc, non in stock.

Tactacam has lost out on millions in sales due to lack of supply. I think an alarming portion of the economy is going through this. Business owners wait their whole life for these perfect storms, and to not be able to get materials to do their craft has to be maddening. Wheel barrows of money out there for the taking, producers with nothing to sell, consumers with nothing to buy. Stimulate!

^ shortages allow price increases. Inflation. Seems like real estate and hard assets is where we should be putting our money......not "toys". Demand is high for all kinds of stuff. Reminds me of the 70's mentality "Buy before the price goes up".
I've certainly bought my share of stuff in the past several years.....and I'm glad I am not chasing any big ticket items now.

^ Reflecting a bit on prices paid in time gone by:
1970 Ford Maverick $1995 plus options of radio, big six engine, auto transmission, deluxe wheel covers and upgraded upolstry pushed the OTD price to $2026.
1973 bought new GMC Pickup Truck. 2WD standard cab with many options. $3200.
1972 First home was a brick two story w/ 3 BR and 2 Baths. Nice home, still looks nice today. I paid $20,000. and had a 7% 30 year mortgage. $122. / month payments.
1978 built a new 3 bedroom 2 bath split level home on a $5000 / acre sized lot. Paid $60,000 for home.....complete.
1994 new Kawasaki 400 ATV. $3200. (IIRC)
2012 (?) Honda Pioneer 700 UTV. $10,000 plus $3000 options. (can't remember when I had my "land tour" but I had the Honda UTV then)
Today.....were talking about UTV's costing as much as a home back in the day......lol.
Man.....I feel "dated". Grin.

Some info I just got from them:
“we are making new models for 2021 but we have a lot of testing left to do to narrow down all the functions and features. As soon as we have more information we will be sharing it. For now, our ETA on launching the Reveal X is May 1, 2021.”
