Pandemic going on out there. Nonetheless, we still need to celebrate something big this month. I don't think I've waived the success flag yet, if I have, pretend I didn't and let's do it fresh today. Stab Camp at Dogwood Farm has been running on solar 29 months. November 2020 marks the full repayment mark for the solar system.

Foggy, I am prepared to offer you an early buyout from the solar bet in case you don't want to risk having to do the triple lindy off a rope swing into the fish pond. If you streak through Hobo Day from the stop sign to the community center at noon, I'll cancel the bet.

So...no fancy math.... This month you will have saved enough money by not having traditional electrical service you have been able to cover the cost of the investment?? I would love to go solar.... But I think to supply a 2,000 sq ft home all the same comforts of traditional electrical service is still a bit of a stretch for most folks.
If you can do what makes you happy at the stab'n cabin...that is great. Solar is still a tough sell for the vast majority of the country with traditional electrical service. Especially with the lump investment needed up front....
