I am trying to utilize more and more of each animal I kill. Looked at the tongues, thought about adding them to the scrap bin, and just couldn't do it yet. Somewhere someone is probably screaming it's the best part of the deer.

I takes several deer tongues to make it worth your while.
My sisters and parents split a beef last winter. They gave me the heart tongue and some short ribs that were fatty. All the stuff they claimed to be gross. That was my first beef tongue and I was shocked how tender it is.
There was a reason the buffalo hunters would kill them just for their tongue and hide.

Dang caveman, not only do you hunt from a tent in the wilds of the northwoods... but you also shoot ancient deer. That first pic is a pretty cool deer.
