Around here I'd say the top pic is a 3.5 year old and the bottom is a 4.5 year old. That's based on sending in lots of teeth for cementum annuli testing. I've sent in a ton of buck teeth and only once have I seen a 3 year old that was over 125". Lots of older bucks scored lower though. This is off properties that have produced B&C deer so the genetics were good v Around here, I agree with you. I think to many trophy hunters under age deer to shame people into letting them walk. I don’t know about Kansas, they could be 2.5 & 3.5 down there.

You guys have me wondering about my age judging skills. I self admittedly claim to not give a damn about age so it's not something I've practiced much, and it's something I wonder if I CAN accurately do even if I did practice. If a deer floats my boat I shoot it. If it doesn't trip my trigger I don't shoot it. It really doesn't make much difference to me how old it is. Occasionally I shoot a deer and in retrospect wish he had gotten more age on him, so maybe it's something I should look at more closely. I might post some more deer later today if I get time and have you guys give me your opinions on age and why.
Here are the video's I took the original pics from. They were taken almost exactly 1yr apart. Videos on November 21st 2019:
November 22nd 2020. Same spot.
