Looks like it took pretty good. It did in some spots, other spots not so much. I probably should mow and spray something for the grass, but I think I'm going to let some of that winter rye head out first. If I get some time I will try to dig out another stump with the tractor. Sometimes I can pop them pretty fast, other times it takes some more effort.

Checked the back corner of the foodplot. The smart weed is once again really thick back there.
I need to cut 2 or 3 trees down to get more sun on it so it dries out faster. Maybe more lime?

Wow, shit. Short of getting those fancy herbicides, I might try (I might also fail) 3 bushels/ac of rye this fall and see if you can choke it out next spring and then rotate right to solid brassicas. Even that may only be temporary.

We are supposed to have 40s almost every day this week. I'm guessing my plots will be bare of snow by the weekend. Is now a good time to frost seed? Or should I wait until mid March? I've got some medium red and a few bags of Biologic Clover Plus. I think that Clover Plus has some annuals in it so should I wait on that?

Check out Clearcast herbicide, Same as Raptor, but 50% less costly. 6 oz per acre.
