After the new government regulations, I heard that 95% of Americans have some degree of immunity, either from vaccine or natural infection or both.
I also heard that vaccinated and non vaccinated should be treated the same. I don’t know if this was just a comment or official policy.

I believe they are no longer recommending the quarantine of people who test positive.

Que up the Monkey Pox scare.....elections are two months away. They can’t use monkey pox because most of the cases are gay dudes. Can you imagine them tripping over themselves trying not to blame the gays. Imagine an off promoter Brandon talking about it. It would be a classic.

They can’t even bring themselves to say “hey maybe you shouldn’t all get in a big gross sex pile until this monkey pox thing passes”, but they locked us in our homes without a second thought.

We had a class reunion this weekend. I heard 3 different vaccine horror stories. One a gal broke out immediately after the shot (rash all over the body) had a months worth of real problems.
Another gal had a good friend/colleague die suddenly, mid-50s. In another case a very healthy woman ended up with bad migraines, and multiple issues after the shot. She recovered about a year later .
In all cases i never even brought it up as I was staying out of politics this weekend !

It remains a crapshoot.
Our neighbor tested positive a few days ago. He's had body aches and lethargy. Pretty much a bad cold/mild flu symptoms from the sounds of it.
A gal we know who bartends a few days a week tested positive, and in her words "thought she was going to die". She attributes her now being better to paxlovid and her son who took care of her for over a week.
Both were/are fully vaccinated

I was listening to Fox Sports radio this morning. They were talking football news..... the lead in on Vikings QB Kirk Cousins.
"That arrogant SOB refused to get vaccine shots and now look. He has covid. His selfishness is letting down his team." I turned it off immediately. What a dumass. Absolute arrogant dumass that is.
WTF. Kirk gets the vaccine and gets covid anyway potentially. So WTF does it matter to Kirk or his team.

Seems like they have a solution you use need to catch it quickly and be willing to get the vaccine.

The gal who we know who bartends who was sicker than a dog got Paxlovid (she was fully vaxed before getting the 'vid). She believes it, combined with her son bringing her electrolyte fluids and food, saved her life. Our neighbor who was also fully vaxxed got zero Paxlovid after testing positive. Took ibuprofen for body aches and rested and appears to be on the mend. It remains a crapshoot

I think many of us have some immunity, either from vaccine or previous disease. yep. I had the first two shots then decided I'd made a dumb decision. My wife had zero shots. While we can't say we've had positive test results (because neither of us have ever been tested) we're both pretty sure we've had the 'vid at least twice each. Push comes to shove, it's just another day on Earth.
