You have no clue what I would give up quitting... Its easy to sit there and shame people without having any idea whats at stake. Gonna do it. Total bs but its gonna happen. We all have to do things for our family and future. I feel for you, but understand. How long before I will need the jab to keep Medicare? I strongly suspect that the vaccine won’t make much difference on us older people. Our days are limited anyway. I hope there are no long term consequences on the young. The Supreme Court is upholding our constitution as we speak. If you haven’t heard, mandates by the gov are illegal. You won’t need a jab for Medicare.

I don’t agree. He is forced to take the shot or lose what he has earned. If he was told up front when he was interviewing with the company then it’s a choice. Take the shot or lose your job, house, hunting property etc is nothing but coercion. Buy the Ticket, Take the Ride
Take the shot or have the option to start your own business and buy a bigger house and more hunting property.
I generally feel the same way. But if our government could force the jab on everyone, it will be done. You won’t be immune to the consequences no matter what you do for a living. If they mandated the jab before you could go to the grocery store, will you open your own store to provide food? It’s just not practical for everyone.

I'd be more concerned about losing private health care due to an employer vaccine mandate than I would about Medicare

I'd be more concerned about losing private health care due to an employer vaccine mandate than I would about Medicare I believe that has already been tried in one state. Mississippi maybe? The carrier was trying to raise premiums on the unvaccinated. Of coarse I might have imagined this.

A private business mandating to its employees and the government mandating like you suggest are 2 very different discussions.
I'd hire someone to go to the grocery store. The government mandates training and degrees and certificates already for some professions or trades. It's not practical for all of us to get the mandated training, so we hire it out.

Just had to inform my neighbor that invited us to their party we are not vaccinated and won’t be wearing a mask. He said he appreciated me being up front but said everyone there will be wearing a mask. I said everyone except my wife and myself. Also said you guys should be covered and our immune systems are working great so far. So see you Saturday. He just got back to me and said some people may have a problem. I just text him not anymore. We will stay clear until your pandemics are over some day. But thanks for the invite anyways.

Christmas parties are lame anyway. I've had the shot and I'd still pass on any party that requires a mask. That does not sound like any fun.

First national sales meeting in two years last week. People came from all over the midwest, the south and PA. Plus one from west coast. Christmas party with 100 plus people last Friday night. No masks and nobody gives a damn.

Been a long time since I've been around many masks. We had a pep assembly last spring and a mask burning party when the district pulled the masking requirements. Nothing like a bon-fire with kids throwing masks into it at school. That's getting to be close to a yr ago. Had a bake sale and Christmas program at the church last night. Not a mask in sight. It's odd as for a little while I had started to get used to seeing people with masks on. Now it's odd again to see someone with a mask on.
